'Russian Salad' Sold Out At NATO Summit Cafe, Sparks Humour Fest

MADRID: When they were waiting for the arrival of US President Joe Biden and other world leaders at the top of NATO with high security on the outskirts of Madrid on Tuesday, international officials and journalists were confused to find “Russian salad” above from the In-house restaurant menu.
Melange of peas, potatoes, carrots, and mayonnaise are the main points on the Spanish restaurant menu but in front of the peak where Russia is expected to be labeled as a security threat in the new strategic concept of the alliance of the Ukraine invasion, its presence on the menu causes concerns.

“Russian salad at the NATO Summit? I was a little surprised by the choice of the dish,” Journalist Iñaki López told Spanish media outlets La Sexta.

The high carbohydrate content that is interesting from the dish appears to defeat the questionable name, and reportedly sold out in a few hours.

Diplomatic minds that are more applied to the menu presented to defense and foreign ministers who visit at a banquet at the Santa Cruz Barok Palace in Central Madrid on Tuesday night.

Jose Andres, the Spanish chef displayed on the Netflix chef table which coordinates the food, serves classic tapa but adds “tomato dumplings” and review “Ukraine Salad” as he has done in his restaurant throughout Spain.
