Air India Flight Returns To Delhi As Ukraine Closes Airspace
New Delhi: An Indian airplane flew to Ukraine to bring home Indians back for Delhi after Ukraine said it had closed the airspace in the middle of Russian military operations in the eastern recovery area in the area. Thousands of Indians are waiting to fly home from Ukraine in the middle of conflict with Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin this morning allowed Russian special forces to operate in two separatist areas in Ukraine, which Russia recognized as an independent country.

With large-scale military operations that take place in East Ukraine, commercial flights will be at high risk of the nature of airspace chaos, which is likely to be crowded with anti-aircraft activity.
Flight Malaysia Airlines was shot down in July 2014, killing all 298 people on board, during heavy battles between the Ukrainian armed forces and pro-Russian separatists. The investigator still suspects the plane was shot by the Russian anti-aircraft missile which was fired from East Ukraine.

Some Indians living in Ukraine, including students, have complained of their expensive homeward flights, up and above ₹ 1 lakh per ticket.
