Mumbai City FC launch Esports team, first Indian club in FIFA Global Series
Defense ISL Champions of Mumbai City FC launched the official official team of the club official in a historic announcement of November 25th. They constitute the first Indian football club looking for a team from the FIFA World Series.
Islanders signed SAKSHAM ‘Sakky’ Rattan and Siddh ‘Jenasidfc’ Chandarana to represent Mumbai City in the FIFA 22 events at the national and international level, including the FIFA World Series, in the 1V1 competitions and 2v2.
SAKSHAM and SIDDH, ranked 3rd and 5th in India, won various tournaments at the international scene while representing the nation, including the FIFA’s backward series and the ASL Asia Cup.
Kandarp Chandra, CEO of Mumbai City FC, said: “Games and Esports have brought another dimension to sport and we recognize the potential that it has and that the impact it can have on the football landscape in India. By the power of Esports, we intend to increase our presence not only in India but globally and exploits our fans a holistic experience to support their favorite club, both on the ground.

Seeing the club direction is a source of inspiration for me and I am ready to do my best for the city of Mumbai with my good friend Siddh. “
