Netflix’s ‘1899’ From ‘Dark’ Creators: Everything We Know So Far

What’s the plot of 1899?
Netflix 1899 comes from dark creators, so we can definitely expect something very unique. Showrunners Friesi and Odar gave some instructions towards the overall series, although without travel time:

Where is 1899 in production?
As seen on the tweet right above, writing for 1899 began in 2020. In March 2020, filming was scheduled to begin in February 2021 with preparation starting September 2020. However, filmmaking seems to have been rescheduled. On November 2020, according to the job description of the language assistant posted on filmarche.de, production is now set to begin in April 2021 and ended in September in the same year. On May 3, 2021 deadlines revealed that production for Netflix in 1899 was started in April in Babelsberg Studios, Germany.
On November 24, 2020 Showrunner Baran Bo Odar revealed on his Instagram that pre-production for 1899 had begun with a lens test, offering us at a glance with costumes and show settings. Unfortunately, this is not the actor expressed, because the people in the photo stand.
What’s the release date for 1899?
Initially this series is expected to fall on Netflix in 2021, but with the production of April 2021 and the September 2021 wrap, which is now impossible and the first season will definitely be released around 2022.
