Covid Update: India Records Huge Decline In Daily Cases, Reports 34,113 Infections In Last 24 Hrs

New Delhi: India has reported a major decline in the case of Coronavirus as a registered country of 34,113 fresh infections in the last 24 hours. 346 people surrendered to the virus on Sunday while around 1 lakh recovered from infection.

India reported 91,930 recovery of the last 24 hours while the country’s daily ponytites reached 3.19%.

Active cases: 4,78,882 (1.12%)

Total recoveries: 4,16,77,641   

Death toll: 5,09,011

Maharashtra

Maharashtra on Sunday reported 3,502 new coronavirus positive cases, more than 850 days ago, which took state infection stated to 78,42,949, while 17 deaths pushed tolls to 1,43,404, according to the State Ministry of Health.

On Saturday, the state has recorded 4,359 cases – more than a thousand less than the previous day – and also reported 32 deaths related to pandemic.

At present, there are 45,905 active cases in Maharashtra.

A total of 9,815 patients were dismissed during the day, which increased the overall recovery rate in the state to 76,49,669, said in a statement, adding that the recovery rate was 97.54 percent.

With 1,34,634 people tested on Sundays, the number of cumulative tests reached 7.64.37.416, the department said.
